Hello readers,
May is now over, and despite still being in lockdown, it has been a good month. We have to think positively. Not only was it my birthday month, but pretty much all of May was bathed in glorious sunshine here in the UK. I am still working from home which makes my life so much easier and this is saving me a fortune in petrol.
May has also been a very good month for reading, I have read 11 books (which is a little more than usual – 8 last month) and I have purchased 12 (see image above). This does not include my Kindle purchases, there are way too many to list as I tend to go a bit mad with all the offers and deals on Amazon, and of course the freebies. I have just one 5 star rating this month (The Flat Share), but I also really enjoyed reading Daisy Jones and the Six and The Winner’s Curse. As you can see a few contemporary romance novels have crept in there this time. I’m really enjoying reading them at the moment, whether it’s because it’s summer, who knows, but I suspect a few more may find there way into my read list next month.
